Scott Everingham’s Old Coral explores painting as shipwrecks, both through their potential for discovery and their eventual end. With layered, illusory abstraction Everingham explores narrative and fiction in a process that studies the gift of deterioration. Everingham holds a BFA from NSCAD University, and an MFA from the University of Waterloo. He is a three-time RBC Canadian Painting Competition Finalist, and has held exhibitions at The Power Plant (Toronto) the National Gallery of Canada (Ottawa) and the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal. Everingham’s work can also be found in collections such as the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, the Bank of Montreal, TD Canada Trust, RBC, MedCan and Osler, Hoskin &amp Harcourt. He lives and works in Toronto.
